Carol Titus Logan, age 70, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House following a period of declining health.
Born on May 12, 1956 in Kincheloe, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Melvin “Mike” and Arettia (Carpenter) Titus.
In her younger years, you could find Carol in a tree stand, waiting for the perfect buck, line-dancing, crocheting complex dolls or making beautiful quilts for family and friends.
Carol graduated from Conotton Valley High School in 1974 and later earned her accounting degree from Kent State University. She spent over 40 years working for Harcatus Tri-County in various positions including van driver for the senior citizens and as a payroll accountant the last many years of her career.
On October 24, 2015 Carol married Ricky Logan, who survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Malissa (Jose) Cantarero of New Philadelphia, and Alicia (Dan) Matheson of Massillon; and step-son, Rodney (Anna) Thralls of Dennison. She was the proud Grammy of Enrique “Ricky” (Sarah) Godoy, Cody Donbrowski, Marco “Tony” Godoy, Trevor (Jackie) Helmick, and Greyson Thralls. Also surviving Carol is her brother, Bill (Denise) Titus; sisters, Teresa Titus, and Emma Lou Jeffries; numerous nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Susie Keeney.
In addition to her parents, Carol was proceeded in death by her sisters, Mary Ellen Hefner, and Ruby Dennison; brothers, Arnett, Basil, Larry, and Frank Titus; three infant siblings; and special cousin, Betty Sue Palmer.
The family will greet guests on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial service in Carol’s honor will begin at 2:00 PM. A meal will follow in the Tusky VFW. One of Carol’s favorite things to do was to cruise and she will take her final cruise with her daughters where her remains will be laid to rest at sea.
AS your CVHS friends said, “Stay fine.”
