Brenda Lendon

Brenda J. Lendon, 78, passed away on September 25, 2026, at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia.

Born May 10, 1948, in Dayton, Brenda was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Neal and Bertha E. (Thorpe) Holman.

Following high school, Brenda married her beloved husband on September 22. The couple recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary, marking more than five decades of love, companionship, and a life built together.

Brenda found great joy in the simple things that made a house a home. She loved crafting, sewing, and flowers and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years, she was a member of a women’s bowling league and enjoyed the friendships and fellowship it brought.

Her faith was also an important part of her life. Brenda was a member of the Methodist church in Newport, where she participated in church activities and enjoyed spending time with her church family.

Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tammie (Jesse) Dunlap and David (Sharon) Lendon; grandchildren, Brittany (fiancé Jordan) Lendon, Devlyn (fiancée Bri) Lendon, Mitchel Dunlap, and Derrick (fiancé, Lacey) Dunlap; great-grandchildren, Carsyn Reynolds, Emma Caughey, and Liam Caughey; and sisters, Vikki (John) Kincaid and Carol Kilpatrick.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her grandson, Alexander James Lendon.
