Betty M. Weber

Betty M. Weber, age 96, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House after a period of declining health.

Born at Dover, Ohio on November 5, 1928, Betty was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Sickles) Byers.

Betty helped her husband at Weber’s IGA for many years. But her greatest love was caring for family and the many neighborhood kids. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Betty” to many kids over the years.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Douglas) Arnold of Port Washington, and Jayne Weber of Port Washington; son, Terry (Linda) Myers of New Philadelphia; daughter-in-law, Kathy Weber; grandchildren, Dana (Chad Schupbach) Weber, Aimee (Steve Brown) Arnold, Robert (Meaghan) Weber, Michael Walker, Joe Arnold, Zachary Swarny, Ryan Myers, and Travis (Kaylinn) Myers; nine great-grandchildren; two, great-great-grandsons; good friend and caregiver, LuAnn Hagey; and she was loved by many nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Weber, Sr. whom she married in 1946; son, Robert Weber II; grandson, Cody Swarny; granddaughters, Sarah Swarny and Mindy Arnold; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; four brothers; and one sister.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
