Betsy Spring

Betsy Ellen Spring, age 75, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Myrtle (Page) Corliss.

She married Gerald “Jerry” Spring and began a journey that took her to many places and countries during his military career. After Jerry was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, they made their home in Ohio, where they owned and operated a business in Dover for more than 40 years.

Betsy’s faith was strong and unwavering, guiding her throughout her life and especially in her final days. She had a selfless heart, always putting others before herself. Betsy found great joy in sewing and proudly sharing her talents at craft shows as a vendor. She also had a special love for growing beautiful roses. Above all, her greatest happiness came from caring for her family and cherishing the time they spent together. Her love and devotion to them were the true center of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Karl, Jr.) Bloom of Youngstown; her son, Jeramy Spring of Lakewood; her grandson, Henry Spring; her granddaughter, Penelope Spring; her grand pups, Pepper and Taco; and her sisters, Edith (Fred) MaCrae and family, and Marilyn Corliss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Spring.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia.
