Beth A. Ralston, 65, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital.
She was born on July 21, 1960, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of the late John Sproul Jr. and Janet A. (Moore) Sproul Gallucci, and stepdaughter of the late Lindy Gallucci.
Beth was a 1978 graduate of Union Local High School in Morristown, Ohio, and later earned her associate degree from Kent State University. She began her career with Belmont Electric, then worked for Wagoner Moving and Storage, and was currently employed with Advantage Tax Group in New Philadelphia.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Beth was also known for her generous spirit and active involvement in her community. She volunteered with Altrusa of Tuscarawas County, giving her time to help others whenever she could.
On October 1, 1988, Beth married the love of her life, Richard A. Ralston, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on February 26, 2021. Together they built a beautiful family and a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Beth was an avid sports enthusiast—both as a player and a fan—and especially enjoyed basketball and softball. She cherished family trips to Myrtle Beach and treasured moments spent with her children and grandchildren. When her son was young, they shared a special bond watching Beauty and the Beast together. In the last few years, Beth and her daughter found a new hobby in decorating a tree for every room in the house for every season. The bigger and brighter the display, the more joy it brought them.” Above all, she adored her family and her beloved granddog, Max.
Beth is survived by her children: Crystal VanCuren of New Philadelphia; Nathan (Sara) Ralston of Stone Creek; Brad (the late CeCe) Ralston of Massillon; Jeff (Trina) Ralston of Louisville; Sue (John) Reynolds of North Canton; and Stacia (Thom) Nikolaidis of North Canton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandon and Alexis Ralston, Josh Reynolds, Janna (Dan) White, Corey Reynolds, Cara (Nate) Snitchler, Natasia (Gabe) Friel, Mikayla Nikolaidis, Anastasia Nikolaidis, Abrielle (Chandler) Mittas, and Kail Marshall; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her memory will also be cherished by her brothers, John Edward (Judy) Sproul of Cadiz and Dennis (Denise) Sproul of Newark; her aunt and uncle, Gary (Cheryl) Moore and Pam Thompson; and many dear friends and co-workers.
The family will greet guests on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at 5600 N. Wooster Ave. Dover. A service celebrating Beth’s life will be held Saturday in the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. led by Pastor Bill Breon.
