Aurea Canciller Bucag Carpio, 88, of New Philadelphia, tragically died with her granddaughter, Nicole, in an automobile accident on Sunday, January 21, 2007 in New Philadelphia.Born October 31, 1918 in Cauayan, Isabela, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Socorro (Canciller) Bucag, Sr.After graduating from high school, Aurea completed her formal education preparing her for a career as a pharmacist. She met her husband, the late Mr. Guillermo S. Carpio, who was a teacher, and together had four children. She was a lady full of grace, enjoying the company of her family and friends. Aurea is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover.Aurea has four children, Mr. Victorino (Melania) Carpio and their son, Vincent, Dr. Eleanor (Dr. Henrito) Jimenez and their children, Dr. Joseph, Philip, and Jana Jimenez; Dr. Orlando (Dr. Erlinda) Carpio, and their children, Patrick, Michael, and Kristen, and Dr. Victoria Carpio of New Philadelphia; her sister, Mrs. Lourdes Cruz; her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Juana Bucag, and Dr. Shirley Bucag; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Friday, January 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service commencing at 8:00 p.m. Father Bill Arnold will celebrate funeral mass Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. Following the funeral mass, a meal will be served in the Geib Funeral Center. Entombment will take place at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, New Jersey early next week.
