Anthony Grill

Anthony T. Grill, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away November 2, 2014 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, on November 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Donato and Wilda (Shimp) Grill.

After graduating from high school, he began his professional career working as a machinist at B & S in Bradford. Then, he continued working as a supervisor at Pennelec, where he ultimately retired.

Anthony was an award-winning wildlife carver and also a model aviation enthusiast. His faith was nurtured at Sacred Heart Church where he was a member.

He is survived by his children, Daniel (Betsy) Grill, Cindy Grill, and Mike Grill, all of Pennsylvania; his brother, Daniel A. Grill; his aunt, Gloria Spring; 4 grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Grill of Pennsylvania; and 1 niece and 1 nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Grill.

Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Inurnment will take place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Bradford, PA.
