Anna Rose Lane, 88, of Uhrichsville, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Beacon Pointe Health Care Center at Uhrichsville following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Wilbert and Margaret (Wright) Chew, Anna was born January 2, 1928 at Dennison, Ohio.

Anna was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church at Uhrichsville.  She was also a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles.  She enjoyed crocheting but most of all Anna enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Helen (Edward) Greenwood of Uhrichsville; two sons, Darrell McBeth of Uhrichsville and Ralph McBeth of Gilmore; three grandchildren, Shawnsee (James) Armstrong of Gnadenhutten, Kimberly (Thomas) Murphy of Tippecanoe and Shane (Allison) Greenwood of Uhrichsville; her great grandchildren, Jordan Bowling, Darran Warner, Halie Elvin, Jade and Jacob Armstrong, Madison and Garrett Murphy and Aubriana and Braelyn Greenwood; a sister, Donna Lightell of Gainsville, Georgia and a brother, Dan (Barb) Chew of Bowerston.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Lane who passed away on January 15, 2000; a sister, Mary Warner and a brother, Bill Chew.

In keeping with Anna’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  Inurnment will take place in Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville at a later date.
