Anna M. Bevan

Anna M. Bevan, age 92 of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Thursday, June 5, 2008.Born at Dennison, Ohio on March 8, 1916, Anna was a daughter to the late Edward and Nellie Welch Bridgeman.Anna worked very hard most of her life and was employed by the former Sparta Ceramics for a number of years prior to her retirement.She enjoyed playing bingo, taking car trips, and visiting with friends.Anna is survived by a daughter, Patricia Bantum of New Philadelphia; a son, Clarence Bevan also of New Philadelphia; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara Bridgeman; two brothers Charles and Walter; and three sisters Eva, Florence, and Bertha.Private graveside services are under the direction of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.Those wishing to send the family fond memories of Anna are encouraged to sign the online guest registry located on the funeral home’s website.
