Ann M. (Neisel) Courtright, of New Philadelphia, Ohio passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at Park Village Nursing Home, New Philadelphia.
Ann was born March 10, 1930 in a farmhouse in Magnolia, Ohio.
She grew up in the East Sparta/Sandy Valley area and graduated from East Sparta High School.
Ann enjoyed family life as a wife and mother, devoted to God and always cheerful and loving. With her husband “Bob”, she enjoyed traveling to spend time with her daughters and their families. She was a friend to all and drew those she met into her circle of family.
She loved music, was a wonderful singer and played the accordion from her teen years on. On any given day, rain or shine, she could be found outdoors working in her flower garden. She was an avid reader, enjoyed Bible commentaries, cookbooks (Bob read recipes aloud to her also!) and the children’s books read aloud by her young daughters.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Susan (Robert) Weaver of Xenia, Ohio, Rebecca Brown of Keenesburg, Colorado, Miriam Echols of Kit Carson, Colorado, Jane (Larry) Gallagher of Leesburg, Florida, and Nancy Bartlett of Magnolia. She also leaves to cherish her memory 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Courtright; sons-in-law, Charles Brown and Richard Bartlett.
The family extends a heartfelt appreciation for the pastoral care from Rev. and Mrs. Scott Lawton, and Nathan and Alisa Weaver and family.
The family acknowledges the outstanding care and support from the Park Village staff.
Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, 116 Second St. NE, New Philadelphia on Monday, September 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at Emmanuel Church, 1434 South Broadway St., New Philadelphia, OH 44663 on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Memorial Garden at Dover.
