Obituary

Angie P. Thomas, age 72, of Strasburg, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, in her residence, following a period of declining health.

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 16, 1954, Angie was a daughter of the late Finis Raymond and Angelina Marie (Ganci) Price.

A 1972 graduate of Beaugard High School, Angie married Paul Thomas, Sr. on March 31, 1984. While she spent many years caring for her family, she was employed for a period of time at the former Handy & Harmon Corporation at Dover.

Angie had many loves in her life which centered around her family, their activities, and her passion for finding the perfectly priced items at garage sales, cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, collecting depression glass, and more than 200 salt and pepper shaker sets. She also loved taking a chance on scratch-off tickets and will be remembered for her unique vocabulary and pronunciations of certain words, and giving everyone around her special nicknames.

In addition to her husband of 42 years, Angie is survived by her family, which includes children, Paul Thomas, Jr., Matt (Yvonne) Thomas, Kristy (Jason) Romano, Kandi (Katie) McGaffick, and Kody (Misty) Thomas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Completing the family are her siblings, Mary Glorriso, Ray Price, Frances (Larry) Jordan, and JoAnn (Jim) Stephens, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by an infant son, George; a sister-in-law, Sandra Price, and her beloved dog, Yogi.

The family will greet guests on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a service celebrating Angie’s life beginning at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Strasburg Grandview Union Cemetery. Guests are invited to join the family following the service for a meal and fellowship in the Geib Hospitality Room.
