Alverna Mae Hanna

Alverna Mae Hanna, 84, of New Philadelphia, died December 3, 2004 in Union Hospital.A daughter of the late James and Edna (Abel) Roberts, Alverna was born May 18, 1920 in Somerdale, Ohio.She was a 1939 graduate of Dover High School and a member of First Christian Church in New Philadelphia.Alverna is survived by one sister, Ann Egler of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband, Dale Hanna, who died June 25, 1978, and one sister, Gladys Mizer.In keeping with Alverna’s wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation will take place at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
