Peeper Miller has worked with eight high school principals and learned to know thousands of students as office secretary at New Philadelphia High School, a position she has enjoyed for 37 years. this experience, coupled with her position as choir and youth choir director at New Philadelphia's First Christian Church during the 21 -year pastorate of her late husband, the Rev. Jay Cooper, has acquainted her with many of our area families. Her outgoing personality acquaints her with the rest.

Peeper, whose expertise is people, personifies the quote, "A stranger is simply a friend I haven't yet met." She is one of our evening visitation greeters, and our administrative assistant each Saturday!

When she's not working, Peeper spends time with husband, Sam Miller, her two children, Jay Cooper and Robin Perkins, and three grandchildren, Jay and Hannah Cooper, and Kasey Perkins. (And yes, "Peeper" is a long-standing nickname given to her by her father as she was growing up in the Portage Lakes area of Akron! Her real name? You'll have to ask her!)
