Whether you run into John Adams on the street or at Geibs, he always has a warm smile and a pleasant greeting to share. It is just that friendly personality that makes John a great asset to the Geib Family & Staff.

John's role is to help families during funeral services, often remaining at the cemetery to ensure proper care of the grave, escorting family members, and greeting guests to visitations and receptions. John is also a key person in Geib's evening transfer team, charged with responding to calls for care overnight together with a funeral director.

Mr. Adam's work career is lengthy. He was affiliated with the former Reeves Steel for 30 years, then with Candlelight Villa's for fifteen years assisting his wife, Mary Ann, in the management of the Villa's. Before joining the Geib Family & Staff in September 2006, John spent four years working with the Dover School District.

John and Mary Ann reside at Dover and have been married 17 years. John has three daughters, two step-daughters and eight grandchildren. Born and raised in Dover, he is a life-long member of St. Joseph Parish at Dover

His hobbies include walking at New Towne Mall, spending time with his grandchildren and attending their school and sporting events. He also enjoys traveling and has been to Europe, Mexico, many Caribbean islands, the Bahamas and toured the Hawaian islands.

"I can tell the Geib Family & Staff truly care about those who work alongside them as well as the families we serve," Adams said. Although death often represents a time of sadness, it is also a time for families to be brought together and John plays a part in providing comfort and service to these families.
