Two weeks retiring from ODOT in 1994, Dick joined the Linn-Hert Geib family, fulfilling a dream he'd had since his teenage years. "I had the desire to be a funeral director when I a was teenager," he says, "And fulfilled that dream as an adult."

Although Dick's first career desire was to enter the funeral service, his family encouraged him to enter another field, and in 1954, he graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the Carnegie Institute of Technology.

For 18 months, he served with the United States Army Engineering Corp in Korea, and returned to work as District Real Estate Engineer with ODOT, where he remained for 41 years.

In June of 1945, he married Mary Ann, and today, their family includes three children, Eric "Rick" and his wife, Sue, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Nancy and her husband, Ted George, of Dover, Jim and his wife, Karen, of Sunburry, and nine grandchildren.

When he and Mary Ann are not traveling or visiting grandchildren, Dick enjoys leather tooling and golf, and especially helping people in their time of need at Geib's.
