A native of the Oldtown Valley and graduate of New Philadelphia High School, Dave is known throughout the community as a friendly, dedicated person who is devoted to his family and church.

After 30 years of service with the former Reeves Steel, Dave retired then went to work at Allied Machine and Engineering, then at Ag-land Country Store in New Philadelphia.

Once officially "retired", Dave joined the Geib staff where he enjoys caring for families during visitations and services. Dave also earned certification with the Cremation Association of North America and is one of three certified cremationists on the Geib Family & Staff.

In his leisure time, Dave enjoys fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his darling grandchildren, Cameron, Tyler, Nicole, and Kyle. On Sunday mornings he welcomes worshippers at the door of First United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia, where he is a head usher and a faithful Lighthouse Youth Center volunteer.

Together with his wife, Esther (Haney) Dave has been blessed with more than forty years of marriage and three sons; David and wife Becki, Todd and his wife Cathy, and Rob, who is a gifted vocalist.

Dave's warm personality embodies the care, hospitality, and comfort all of his colleagues at Geib aspire to share.
