William “Bill” Skelly

William “Bill” Frank Skelly, 73, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Alliance Community Hospital following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Marshall Frank and Leah (LeJeune) Skelly, Bill was born on August 7, 1942 at Union Hospital.

He was a graduate from Midvale High School.  He then went on to enlist in the United States Army, where he served for seven years.  Bill enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cleveland Cavaliers and Browns.

He is survived by a sister, June Dewalt; a brother, Marshall Frank Skelly, Jr.; a nephew, David Dewalt; a niece, Janice DeJidio and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a brother, Ward Lintz; a sister, Dorris Dziegeliski and a nephew Robert Lintz.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes there will be no public calling hours and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  Inurnment will take place in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia on Friday, May 20th at 12:00pm with Pastor Brian Flood officiating.
