Robert Henning, Sr.

Robert M. Henning, Sr., age 70, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in his home following a three-year struggle with a brain tumor.

A son of the late Donald A. and Vivian L. Marino Henning, Bob was born on December 17, 1947 in Westfield, New York.

He is survived by his wife, the former Brenda Cookson whom he married on February 7, 1970; their children, Stephanie (John) Carpenter and Robert M. (Lori) Henning, Jr. all of New Philadelphia; his beloved grandchildren, Claire and Ty Carpenter, and Nick and Vinny Henning; two brothers, John (Kristin) Henning of New Philadelphia and David (Carole) Henning of California.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation care will be conducted by Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.

Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
