Robert Charles Wolf, age 85, of Gnadenhutten died Thursday, February 01, 2018 while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.

Born at the family home in Port Washington on June 30, 1932, Bob was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Pinchek) Wolf.

Bob was a 1950 graduate of Gnadenhutten High School. He was drafted into the United States Navy in 1952 and was stationed in California during the Korean War.

He was the owner of Indian Valley Motors and Valley Video. Bob loved golfing and held memberships at the River Greens in West Lafayette and River Greens South in Avon Park, Florida. He was also a member of the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #510. Spending time with family and friends is what he enjoyed most.

Bob took pleasure wintering in Florida and was always happy to return to his home in Gnadenhutten.

Bob is survived by a son, Robert (Theresa) Wolf of Dover; a daughter, Amy (Keith) Wolf-Apfel of Fort Lee, New Jersey; grandchildren, Cameron, Kristopher, Kaira and companion, Tyler Erwin; Avery and Drew Apfel; sisters, Mary Jane (Rodney) Ault of Gnadenhutten, Lisa McMorrow and brother, John Wolf of Uhrichsville; numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends Ron and Kim Smith of Avon Park, Florida.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Mangon Wolf; daughter, Deborah Wolf; and sisters, Betty Evans and Rose Porter.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church, 220 N Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten, Ohio 44629. The family will receive guests from 10:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m., a luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Memorial contributions in Bob’s memory may be directed to either the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church or Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
