Pamela J. Breehl, 64, of New Philadelphia, passed away May 6, 2017 in Union Hospital at Dover following a sudden illness.
Born in Dover on April 17, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Shirley (Hunt) Russell.
After graduating from Indian Valley North High School, she was a loyal employee of Union Hospital as a pharmacy technician for numerous years until her recent retirement.
On September 8, 1973, Pam married Charles E. “Chuck” Breehl. Together they were blessed with the birth of their two children, Heather and David.
Pam devoted her life to her family. She greatly enjoyed morning coffee at the mall with her sisters and special friends, and their Sunday morning breakfasts. The title of “mama” was of most importance to Pam. She loved to be in her granddaughters’ presence and support them, whether at a sporting event or just enjoying time together. When she was at home, Pam’s dogs took priority.
Pam will be deeply missed by her husband, Chuck; her children, Heather (Perry) Nave of Strasburg and David Breehl of New Philadelphia; her granddaughters, Taylor and Emalee; her step-grandson, Devin Nave; her sisters, Shari (Danny) Kohler and Paula (JD) Wemple; and her special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her infant brother, David Russell; and her grandma, Laura Hunt.
A private service will take place later this week and inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.

Chuck, Shari, Paula, and all of Pam's family: Our prayers and sympathy to all of you at this difficult time. Pam was a great classmate and friend all through school at Midvale and I.V.N. and in later years at church and when I'd see her at the hospital or at the mall. So shocked to hear of her untimely passing. God be with you today and in days to come.

Dear Chuck and family, Shari and Paula, I am so sorry to see that Pam has past away. No matter where I would run into Pam she would always take a few minutes to stop and say hello. I just talked to her a couple of weeks ago, she was saying how good it was now that she was retired to be able too spend more time with family and just relax. I wish to express my sincere sympathies to all of you. May our Heavenly Father comfort all of you at this time.

We all remember the "firsts" in our lives. Having the Russells as our neighbors growing up in Barnhill, Pam was my first friend. We were friends as long as I can remember. I have so many memories of our wonderful times together! I am still in shock! You couldn't ask for a kinder, more fun loving person than Pam. Although in adulthood people grow apart and don't see each other, Pam was always my friend. Every time I saw her, it was like there wasn't a gap. I will never forget her - it is like losing a sister. My sincere sympathy to my "other sisters", Chuck, Heather, David and her precious grandchildren.

When my husband was in the hospital, she would have his prescriptions filled at the pharmacy and then bring them to me, so I didn't have to wait on them. Condolences to her husband and children. So sorry she didn't get to enjoy her retirement longer.

Chuck, this is Dean Miller (class of 1971). Lori Finley, a friend of mine, posted your wife's passing on FB & I saw it tonight (5/7/2017). Though a fellow widower (my wife passed away 12/25/2013), I do not know how you feel but I do appreciate the heartache you are experiencing. Loss is painful. It creates great challenges. So sorry for this awful time in your life. I hope you have people in your life who will comfort you effectively.
