Muriel Aubihl

Muriel Aubihl, age 95, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center in New Philadelphia.

Born August 12, 1920 in Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lucy (Tempest) Higham.

She honorably served her country in the Royal Air Force. On November 10, 1945, she married William Aubihl who preceded her in death on September 19, 2009.

Muriel retired from Stephenson & Stephenson Law Firm after 25 years as a legal secretary. She was a 50 year volunteer at Union Hospital and was a member of the Tusco Travelers and Broadway United Methodist Church. Muriel also loved to camp.

Muriel will be sadly missed by her sons, John (Carol) of New Philadelphia and Jeff (fiancé, Tammy) of Brenham, Texas; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Nora and Edna.

A memorial service will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. Private inurnment will follow at a later time.
