Miriam “Kitty” McBeth

Miriam L. “Kitty” Eichel McBeth, 85, of Bolivar and formerly of Canton, passed away in the Community Hospice Truman House Thursday morning, March 15, 2018, following a period of declining health.

Born in Canton on September 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Luther Pontius and Alice C. (Wiles) Schneider.

Kitty attended Lehman High School prior to completing her formal education at Timken High School. She married her late husband, Warren “Dave” Eichel, and was blessed with the birth of three daughters, Becky, Cindy and efy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who spent her life caring for others and nurturing those relationships. Her polite nature and friendly personality made her a stranger to no one.

Kitty was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar where she was active in the Spread Some Sunshine Girls group.

Kitty will be deeply missed by her husband, Floyd D. McBeth whom she married on August 31, 1997; her daughters, Rebecca (Connie Flogge) Eichel of Bolivar and efy McDonnell of Canton; her grandson, Jacob McDonnell; her siblings, Cynthia (Jack) Gardner of North Lawrence, Luther P. Schneider, II of Lorain, and Lowell (Margaret) Schneider of Gainesville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, Dave, Kitty was preceded in passing by her daughter, Cynthia Eichel.

Visitation will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 156 Poplar St., Bolivar, on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM. Pastor Mike Pozzuto will lead a service celebrating Kitty’s life beginning at 11 AM followed by a reception in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will take place in Ft. Laurens Cemetery.
