Marjorie Gridley

Marjorie Gridley, 90, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia.

A daughter of the late Elmer and Marie (Fritz) Way, Marjorie was born May 17, 1926 at Cleveland, Ohio.

Marjorie loved to make crafts.  She was an avid sewer and quilter, and was a member of the Quilt Guild as well as the Winfield UMC Quilting Club.  She also loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Gridley, whom she married June 8, 1946; two daughters, Connie (George) Thompson and Pamela (James Johnson) Walling; a son, Brian Gridley; 8 grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Keenan, Amy (Patrick) Bowers, Shane (LeaAnn) Thompson, Carrie (Paul) McNutt, Kelly Walling, Brian Gridley, Justin Gridley and Brandon (Anne) Gridley as well as 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Garrison and two siblings, Betty Bykiewicz and Elmer Way.

In keeping with the family’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or services and cremation care will be handled through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
