Margaret Jane Morgan

Margaret Jane Morgan, 91, of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia passed away peacefully in the Inn at Northwood on July 11, 2016.

Born in New Philadelphia on April 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late David J. and Lucile M. (Harris) Morgan.

She graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1943. The majority of her professional career was serving as a bookkeeper in the accounting department at Marlite Corporation in Dover for 40 years. Then, she worked at McInturf Realty for a number of years.

Margaret was a 79-year member of the First Christian Church in New Philadelphia, where she held numerous appointed positions at the church. She was also a member of A.A.R.P.

Margaret is survived by her nieces, Jane (Steve) Arnold of New Philadelphia and Cheryl (Rich) Marcaletti of New Philadelphia; 5 great-nieces and nephews; and 7 great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, David “Jack” (Annabelle) Morgan; and her nephew, John R. Morgan.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 10:30 am in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Pastor Jim Borton officiating.
