Karen L. McPherson, 77, of Dover, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Karen L. McPherson, 77, of Dover, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Roland and Opal (Huff) Rice, Karen was born September 9, 1939 at Dover, Ohio.
Karen graduated from Dover High School in 1957 and was Methodist by faith.
She is survived by her children, Ellen (Richard) Hooker, Dr. Richard Roe and Raymond (Kathi) Roe all of Newcomerstown, Robert (Julie) Roe of Coshocton and Randall Roe of Cincinnati; two step-children, Charlie (Donna) McPherson of Florida and Debbie (John) Matthews of Texas; her grandchildren, Nicole (Bernie) Rusnak, Joshua Roe, Howard and Michael Bartholow and Anthony and Seth Roe; three great grandchildren, Cam Rusnak and Chase and Jocelyn Roe and many nieces.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Richard Roe; her second husband, Walter McPherson; a sister, Betty Rice and a brother, Roy Rice.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial service celebrating Karen’s life will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
