Joanne Ahrendt

Joanne L. Ahrendt, 57, of Freeport, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home.

A daughter of the late John and Anne (Londeree) McClung, Joanne was born November 13, 1960 at Charleston, West Virginia.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Chris Shorts whom she married on August 10, 2001; her step-children, C.J., Darren and Sara; a step-granddaughter, Athena; two sisters, Dee (Ed) Turner and Joyce Hartzler both of Charlotte, North Carolina; three nieces, Michelle Lynch, Kimberly Helms and Leslie Sandlock; a nephew, Tommy Kinsey; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

In keeping with Joanne’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
