Janice Pullins

Janice Kay Pullins, 70, of Bolivar, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar following a lengthy illness.

A daughter of the late Wayne and Minnie (Evans) Pullins, Janice was born July 25, 1948 at Canton, Ohio.

Janice graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 1966. During her younger years, she worked at Progressive Molding at Bolivar and eventually retired as librarian.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia and was active with the Bible Publishing Team. Janice was also a member of the Garden Club while residing in Florida and was an avid volunteer of the former Cats – N – Us Shelter. She was also an avid gardener and reader and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Shondell (Jeremy Lindon) Russell of Tuscarawas; her grandchildren, Tyler Matthus, Kyle (Mercedes Mayle) Matthus, Kaitlyn (Shane) Holdsworth, Ashton (Beau) Bellerive, Jarett (Liz Beller) Jones, Kayla Martin and Robert Martin; her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Jace Holdsworth, Kali Burgess, Westen Matthus and Walker Bellerive; her siblings, Jerry (June) Pullins of Magnolia, Darlene Martin of Bolivar, Donald Pullins of Mineral City, Karen Carling of Mineral City and Tammie (Tim) Lunsford of Mineral City; and nieces and nephew, Karry (Brett) Jones, Nicole Martin and Steve (Tana) Martin.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Russell; her second husband, Robert Martin; brother, Jeff Pullins and two infant brothers, Ronnie and Larry Pullins; and an aunt and uncle, Vytice and George Sellers.

In keeping with Janice’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 6 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be held in German Cemetery at a later date.
