After retiring, she volunteered for the Senior Center, AARP Health Advocacy, Union Hospital Lifeline, the Arthritis Foundation, the AARP Income Tax Assistance Program and the Ohio State Healthy Insurance Council. She was the recipient of the 1997 Vic Marsh Annual Volunteer Service Award.

In her leisure time, she liked bowling, playing in several bridge clubs, and lunching with classmates. A longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church, she was a greeter at mass and an active member of both the Senior Citizens’ Group and LCBA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and her son-in-law Gerald D. Quillen in 2009. She is survived by two children: daughter, Susan J. Quillen, and son, Robert J. (Sherry) Harriff, all of Dover; and, four grandchildren: Joshua R. (Stephanie) Quillen, Zachary J. Quillen, Benjamin T. Harriff and Brian R. (Amber) Harriff.
