L. Eileen Watson

March 30, 1925 — October 22, 2016

L. Eileen Watson, 91, of Dover, passed away in Hennis Care Center at Dover on October 22, 2016.

Born in Beach City on March 30, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nora (Nicewander) Strauss, Sr.

After graduating from Strasburg High School in 1944, Eileen married her late husband, Joe H. “Pat” Watson. They were blessed with seven children. Eileen’s faith was nurtured in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover.

She is survived by her children including Nora Curran of New Philadelphia, Patricia Foster of Bolivar, Ann Marie (Jim) McFerron of Massillon, Bridget (Dwight) Sundheimer of Dundee, Tim (Wendy) Watson of Dover and Mike (Patti) Watson of Strasburg, and Joey Watson of Dennison; her sister, Marguerite (Ray) Donato of Strasburg; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John Strauss, Annabell Johnson, and Arthur Strauss; her grandson, Michael B. Watson; and her son-in-law, Brad Curran.

Friends are welcome to join the family Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m. in the hospitality room at the Geib Funeral Center in Dover for light refreshments.

Cremation will be cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory and a private inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery at Dover at a later date.
