Mark, Laura,Nathan and family , You have all of our sympathy for your loss of such a wonderful person. All three of our daughters attended South Elementary school and had the pleasure of interacting with Dickie on a regular basis. The fond memories from the late 90's & early 2000's created on the softball diamond are such a blessing as well as Laura, Brittany and Brianne had some enjoyable times together. Dickie will be sadly missed by all, her smile, humor, kindness and caring were all top notch - she was such a beautiful person. May God bless her and your family. Sincerely, The Shetlers

In everybody's garden, A little rain must fall. Or life's sweetest fairest flowers, Wouldn't bloom at all. And though the clouds hang heavy, So heavy, Oh! My Friend, I'm sure that God who sends the shower, Will send the rainbow's end. RIP Dickie Lynn.

Dickie's Navy Seal stories were some of the best I ever heard! She could get any preschool child to stop crying with tales of her wild adventures at sea! I will always remember hiding books from substitute teachers with her and problem-solving how to reach some of the "tough" cases we encountered. She made everything fun!

Barb Ross posted on 3/2/17

Dear Mark and family, Dickie inspired me so much with her strength and faith. I am holding you all in prayer and hope you are finding some peace. She and I were often the first ones in the South Preschool in the mornings and we would hold philosophical "talks" over the half-wall. With deepest sympathy, love and prayers.

Remember when you two were in my class and your Mom was always so willing to take the guinea pigs home for the weekend when no one else would? Hope your enjoyed them too! Your Mom was always such a help in the classroom and always had your best interests in mind! She was one special lady and just know she will be missed by those who love her so! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you now and always!

Aunt Donna Jean, Cathy, Kim, Linda, Mark, Nathan,Laura and Aunt Brenda I am so very sorry about Dicki, I know how close all of you were and I also know how special she was to you all!! I don't remember a whole lot past child hood but what I do remember is, she was always kind to me and that she could draw and she had a love for horses!! I still remember going to the fair and watching her race them, in fact I think I just might have a news paper clipping about her racing. I think it said she was the first female jockey to race there?!?! Been a long time ago. She also had such a good sense of humor but then again she got that from her dad I think. You all are in my thoughts and prayers always. I may not be close but I still love my family very much!
