Delores Edna Addy

Delores Edna Addy, 76, of Gnadenhutten, died Friday, April 08, 2016 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a recent illness.

A daughter of the late F. Edwin and Edna (Grosenbacher) Rank, Delores was born August 8, 1939 at Dennison, Ohio.

Delores graduated from Gnadenhutten High School in 1957 and was retired as a cook from Union Hospital at Dover.  She attended Countryside Baptist Church at Port Washington.

She cherished spending time with her family and she also enjoyed taking trips with her friends.  Delores was an avid sports fan and she especially enjoyed following The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Deborah Addy of Madison Heights, Virginia and Keith and Sandy Addy of Gnadenhutten; her grandchildren, Alex, Zane, Isaac and Blake; a brother, Raymond (Ellen) Rank of Brecksville and two nieces, Tish (Kevin) Kwiatkowski of Brecksville and Emily (Glen) Wreford of North Royalton.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger L. Addy and a granddaughter, Hillary Addy.

In keeping with Delores’ wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  A memorial service celebrating Delores’ life will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Patrick Boyle officiating.  Inurnment will take place in Clay-Union Cemetery at Gnadenhutten at a later date.
