Deborah Anne DeWalt

Deborah Anne DeWalt, 54, of Bowerston, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Union Hospital at Dover.

A daughter of Margaret (Puch) Muhleman and the late Michael Lapoczka, Deborah was born June 27, 1962 in Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Deborah graduated from Buckeye West High School in 1980.  She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening as well as using power tools and woodworking.  Deborah had a passion for interior decorating and loved her cats.

She is survived by her mother; her husband, Paul DeWalt whom she married on December 24, 1980; her children, Paul Scott DeWalt Jr of Bowerston and Sarah (Patrick) Donley of Bethesda, Ohio and a brother, Michael Gregory Lapoczka of New Philadelphia.

In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.

Contributions may be made in Deborah’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
