David E. Scott

David E. Scott, 53, of Gnadenhutten, passed away in his home on November 18, 2017.

Born in Dennison on November 27, 1963, he was the son of the late Stanley D. and Juanita M. (Gray) Scott.

After completing his formal education, he worked for the Local 69.

David had a love for the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also adored his grandchildren and being “Papaw”.

He will be deeply missed by his family including his children, David (Charity) Scott, II, of Uhrichsville, William (Courtney) Bryan of Port Washington, and Samantha (fiancé, Cory Byers) Scott of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Destiny, Arianna, Trapper, Zavier, Blaze, Alexandra, Graciana, Patience, and Charles; and his siblings, Dixie Dyer of New Philadelphia, Juanita Patterson of Uhrichsville, Stanley (Julie) Scott of New Philadelphia and Steve Scott of Uhrichsville; several nieces and nephews; and his soulmate, Vicky Hankins of Uhrichsville.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. A service celebrating his life will being at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Holmes Church Cemetery.
