Chris was not only my neighbor that lived across the street, but she was family. Whenever I, or anyone else on Allen needed help, she was there without hesitation. I will always cherish the talks we had and the time we spent together. She left a mark on many hearts and will be missed dearly by close friends, neighborhood children, her cats and family. Rest in peace Chris. Until we meet again.

I knew Chris many years ago when she was in Bowling Green. I worked for ODH. I'd completely lost track of her for decades. For some reason I thought of her last night and "Googled" her name, only to find that she had passed this past week. There certainly must be a greater power calling on us to remember her and her family. She was a great person and she helped many!

Tom and Jim and families, I am so sorry for the loss of Chris. She was truly a special lady and one of a kind! My family struck the jack pot when we moved next door to her as she was the best next door neighbor a person could have! We will definitely miss our Friday night talks in the summer, her beautiful flower gardens she created, her quick wit and humor and most of all her friendship. Rest in peace Chris. We will forever be grateful to have known Chris, "Granny" to our grandchildren who live across the street. More than a babysitter and favorite playmate of theirs, she was indeed like family to us. She will be greatly missed and always fondly remembered. May God's comfort be yours in this time of loss. God bless you, as Chris blessed us.

My sincere sympathy to Chris's family. I had the pleasure of knowing Chris thru her neighbor, my sister Beth. I always enjoyed chatting with Chris and strolling thru her beautiful yard full of flowers and plants. You could tell the amount of love she had for gardening. Chris had a great sense of humor and always was full of funny stories. I will miss seeing her on the patio this summer. ~ Linda Griffith Lancaster, Ohio

Dear Family Jean Egan and Ginny Stiver are thinking of you with their deepest sympathy at the loss of sister with a beautiful smile and a big heart. We worked with Chris in Northwest Ohio, mentoring her as a dietetic intern, then recommending her for Wood County, working with her for the State of Ohio in Northwest District, and Ginny became her director as she returned to Southeast District. Chris said to Ginny she thought of her as a second Mom. We will miss her, her cat stories and those of her family and friends she used to babysit and loved so much. We were so glad to be able to visit you in the hospital.
