Beverly Ann Giauque

January 31, 1934 — August 22, 2017

Beverly Ann Giauque, 83, of Bucyrus and formerly of Dover, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in Carlisle Place at Bucyrus following a brief illness.

A daughter of the late Theodore Elsworth and Lola Elizabeth (Osgood) Bailey, Beverly was born January 31, 1934 at Canton, Ohio.

Beverly graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1952 and was a longtime member of First Church of the Brethren at New Philadelphia.  She was retired from Williams Furniture at Dover where she worked as the bookkeeper for 20 years.  Beverly enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting as well as camping and square dancing during her younger years.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Huyghe of Seattle, Washington and Bobbi Reed of Galion, Ohio; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Robb) Huyghe Crouse of Seattle, Washington, Jason (Tara) Huyghe of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Alex (Jennifer) Reed of Galion, Ohio, Ashley (Chuck) Mancuso of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Annie (Andrew McCarthy) Reed of Galion; six great grandchildren, Katelynn and Brogan Crouse, Nathan, Andrea and Addison Reed and Nathan Huyghe; a sister-in-law, Treva Bailey of New Philadelphia and various nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Dean Giauque; two brothers, Richard and Myron Bailey; two sons-in-law, Jeff Huyghe and Larry Reed; two great granddaughters, Kayle and Emily Mancuso and a two sisters-in-law, Ruth Wilkes and Mary Bailey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.  A funeral service celebrating Beverly’s life will follow at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Max Canfield officiating.  A reception will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia following the service.  Inurnment will take place in Grandview-Union Cemetery at Strasburg at a later date.

Contributions may be made in Beverly’s memory to First Church of the Brethren, 700 Fair Avenue NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
