Betty Hilliard

Betty Hilliard, 82, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in Beacon Point Health Care Center at Uhrichsville, Ohio.

A daughter of the late William and Margaret (Ickes) Tidrick, Betty was born September 12, 1933 in Dennison, Ohio.

Betty met her late husband, Pete whom she married August 27, 1956 at Midvale High School where she was a secretary until the birth of their first child.

Betty is survived by her two daughters, Roxanne (Dick) White and Renee (Shane) Burdette; her son, Rod (Anna Seese) Hilliard; five grandchildren, Katie (Kevin Ammari) White, Elizabeth (Mark) Sheehe, Ricky White, Keeley (Dewey) Thomas, Erin “Bubba” Burdette; five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Bryer and Brynley Thomas, and Lucas and Rylee Sheehe; a sister-in-law, Erma Walton and family friend, Delbert Graham.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 10 to 11AM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Betty’s life will follow at 11AM in the funeral home’s chapel with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery at Tuscarawas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty’s memory may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.

The Hilliard family would like to thank the P.U.S.H. Group at St. James Lutheran Church, as well as Community Hospice and the girls at Beacon Point for their generosity and the care provided to Betty.
