Betty Ann Hunter

Betty Ann Hunter, age 67, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016, following an extended illness.

Born in Twin City Hospital at Dennison on July 2, 1949, Betty was a daughter of the late Everett and Helen (Haney) Hunter.

She was a graduate of the former Midvale High School and spent many years as a bartender and manager of several local establishments.

Betty enjoyed craftwork, vacationing, being with her family during cook outs and spending time with her nieces. She especially looked forward to the Christmas Holiday in which they spent time baking cookies.

She is survived by two sisters, Liz (Rusty) Jones of Florida and Janet (Ralph) Tice of Barnhill as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Hunter; four brothers, Danny, Rich, Tommy, and William Hunter; and a sister, Susie Hunter.

A memorial service celebrating Betty’s life will begin at 2 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Barn of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia. The family will greet guests following the service. Cremation has taken place through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
